Recently we have noticed an increase in hate in our communities, schools and even on the streets.  We have become more uneasy around people that are different than us in appearance, practice, race, religion, gender, etc.  We invite you to say "NO" to hate at Youth Against Hate on Monday, May 20 at Congregation Beth Israel (989 W. 28th Avenue).

At Youth Against Hate, we will have opportunities to engage in meaningful conversations, share our experiences and learn from professional and each other.  Youth Against Hate is for all teens in Grades 8-12.

At Youth Against Hate we will...
  • Participate in interfaith dialogue to address discrimination and promote collaboration with peers from various faith groups in our province.
  • Stand together as neighbours against all forms of hate.
  • Create a safe space for dialogue, understanding and collaboration to establish a more inclusive and harmonious society.
Teens will have opportunities to choose their own sessions (see below) and all will participate in a culminating art project.

Lunch:  A vegetarian/pescatarian lunch will be provided.  Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions.
